Reaching OUT…

Last week, I went to the grocery store to buy foods like noodles, rice, and canned goods so that I will be  able to help one family from Marikina, one of the most affected areas in the Philippines hitted by Typhoon “ONDOY” few weeks ago.  Just this morning, I went straight to this family, Nanay Ising and her grandson, Michael. During the typhoon, Ising was so helpless because she’s the only one taking care of her grandson and because of her age, it was really difficult for her to save her grandson from the flood, and luckily they have been rescued.

With this experience, I’m so glad that I was able to help this family because I know with their situation, it will be hard for them to survive knowing that they don’t have the means to provide their basic needs in life. They we’re also thankful after receiving the items  and I know deep in my heart that I was able to bring hope to them and make them believe that there are still people like us that are more than willing to help even in our own little ways…

Saving LIVES…

October 1st, 2009 by jjsamson26

5 days ago, our country was hitted by Typhoon Ondoy and many lives were put in danger. Sadly, there were also lives taken and still missing. With what happened, I could only think of one thing…TO HELP OTHERS…BUT HOW?

This morning, I was told by my cousin that she met Mr. Matt Dotson online, willing to help people from our country so I told her that I want also to reach out those people by providing them what they really need right now.

With this experience, I could just say that for those who survived the disaster left by Typhoon Ondoy, we’re still lucky because we’re still alive and let us make the most of it by helping others and bringing hope to them.
